This project developed off the back of the White Scars Praetor I painted for the Patreon. The brief was to create a force of White Scars that could fit in a Thunderhawk Gunship.
The colour scheme used dirty greens and whites rather than the polished baby blue mid-tones that I’ve seen in other armies. Each model was individualised, with a small conversion or custom pattern.
The basing scheme was created by mixing brick red weathering powder with water and painted over a sand flocked base. The brown/red helps reinforce the idea that these legionnaires come from a nomadic tradition on the steppe of Chogoris.
