DESCRIPTION:I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS – Colour Scripting\, Theory and Translation\n* \nThis workshop explores how to use cinematic colour storytelling to elevate your bust and model painting. Taking inspiration from Breaking Bad’s iconic palette—from muted classrooms to the green of desperation and the black hat of Heisenberg—we’ll study how colour shapes mood\, narrative\, and transformation. \nStudents will learn how to design and execute a colour script: planning palettes\, mapping light and shadow\, and applying them to their bust in a way that communicates character and drama. Blending cinematic theory with practical technique\, this class gives painters the tools into storytelling with purpose. \nLearn how to interpret and use the colour wheel to create more dynamic paint jobs on your miniatures. Learn the basics of colour theory\, usage and simple colour mixing in this one-day course designed to break the fear of the subject. \nWhether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner\, join us in exploring the fundamentals of the master’s tool: The brush.  \nThis course deconstructs the theory of colour\, how it has been interpreted throughout history by artists\, and how we can use modern acrylic paints to create striking colour schemes. Get rid of the fear and enjoy miniature painting. \nThis is the first time teaching this course in the UK. It is a firm favourite of Adepticon attendees\, and I’m delighted to offer this course at our home base at Swansea. \n* \nThis is a 2-day course designed for beginner\, intermediate to master miniature painters. \nStudents will have a mini-workbook provided for them on the day. \nEquipment\n\nSet of brushes (you can buy a core set here and will be waiting for you at the venue).\nA selection of paints (primaries including blue\, yellow\, red\, white & black as well as a handful of your favourites)\nWet palette (we recommend Redgrass Games Large Palette )\nNotepad & Pen.\n\n* We do have a limited availability of all of the above. Please contact us beforehand if you cannot bring any or would like to try them out before purchase. If you turn up with nothing else but the shoes on your feet\, you will still be able to participate in the class. \n \nHotel\nIf you’d like to stay overnight there is a hotel very close to the studio (you can throw a rock at my window from your room – it’s that close!) \n \nStudent’s work from previous workshops. \n  \n              \nInstructor Work.
