This was a limited edition release from GW and forms part of the command cadre we have painted for a client. I’d love to think this is the Living Martyr before her ascension. This model was airbrushed alongside the other sisters but benefitted from extra detailing on the armor, face and base.
I’m going through an OSL phase. I love GW’s artwork. Even contemporary pieces have a grim dark edge that is rare to see in other Sci-Fi properties. Reflecting this in the miniatures is the challenge of our studio. How do we bring this world we love to life on the table top?
Canoness Sister Tariana Palos gave us the opportunity to develop the light source on the base. The heretics being cremated by the order was a perfect opportunity to add ambient lighting to the base. Staining the armour with notes of orange helped sell the effect even more. We’ve produced a video tutorial on how to crack out infantry, with the next series concentrating on elevating the work for characters.
