There’s a reason this model has sat at the top of the Space Wolves range for as long as it has. It’s just good. The sculptor understood the assignment — this isn’t a Space Marine with a wolf pelt glued on.

The client came to me with one request: push the OSL on the axe. So we did. The Axe of Morkai bleeds cold light across the fur, the armour, the base — everywhere it has a right to be and nowhere it doesn’t. OSL lives or dies on restraint, get it wrong and the whole model looks like it’s standing under a theatre spotlight. Get it right and suddenly the light source exists.
The fur cloak was its own challenge. Age and weight — that’s what you’re chasing. This thing has history stitched into every fibre. Oils did the heavy lifting there.
